In Barreiro, promoting the health and well-being of employees has been a priority, with several initiatives carried out in recent months as part of occupational health and safety efforts. On World Mental Health Day, October 10th, a campaign was launched focusing on safety and health promotion, highlighting the importance of mental health care. In November, the actions focused on healthy lifestyle habits, with Quick Massage sessions to alleviate stress and the celebration of São Martinho, which provided moments of socializing among employees. Respiratory screenings, including spirometry tests, were also conducted to promote respiratory health, and a health workshop was held with Dr. Armando Felgueiras, who shared valuable advice on prevention and quality of life. These initiatives reflect the commitment to the well-being of employees in Barreiro and the continuous improvement of occupational health and safety conditions.
During the first week of November, a campaign dedicated to Healthy Lifestyle Habits was held at the Palença Industrial Unit, as part of the commitment to occupational health and safety. The campaign featured one initiative per day, starting with the daily publication of a healthy mug cake recipe, presented on the cafeteria placemats. Additionally, a day of Quick Massage sessions was organized, providing relaxation and well-being moments for employees.
As is customary, healthy breakfast kits, consisting of juice, sandwiches, dried fruits, and healthy chocolate cake, were distributed to all employees. On November 8th, in celebration of European Nutrition and Healthy Lifestyle Day, the cafeteria menu was dedicated to this theme, reinforcing the importance of a balanced diet.
